A Showcase of Imagination in Confectionery
Launched at FHA-HoReCa 2024, the FHA Dessert Challenge will return at FHA 2026. Organised in partnership with the Singapore Pastry Alliance, this event aims to advance professional pâtisserie skills while fostering creativity and knowledge exchange among pâtissiers throughout the region. This competition is endorsed by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs).
Competition Dates
The FHA Dessert Challenge will be held from 23-24 April 2026 at Singapore Expo.
Registration & Conditions of Participation
The FHA Dessert Challenge is a team and individual competition, open to both working chefs and chefs in training.
Competition Format & Capacity
- The FHA Dessert Challenge is open to both working chefs and chefs-in-training.
- The competition will accept a maximum of 20 teams of two (02) and 30 individual competitors.
- Successfully registered participants will receive confirmation of their competition slot and further instructions.
Admission & Eligibility
To be eligible for participation, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- Be aged 16 years or above at the point of registration.
- Be either an existing student enrolled in a culinary / hospitality course at an institution, an apprentice undergoing training, or a chef in full-time employment at a food & beverage or hospitality establishment (e.g., restaurants, cafés, hotels, catering businesses, airlines)
- All members of each participating competitor’s team (meaning the competitor themselves and any helper) must be enrolled in a course or undergoing training at the same institution or employed by the same establishment or organisation.
Registration Process
- The registration fee is SGD150 per team and SGD100 per individual competitor, applicable to both international and local participants.
- The registration fee is non-refundable if the competition is cancelled due to reasons beyond the Organiser’s control, or if an application is withdrawn by the competitor.

Eligible Asian Regions / Nations
The event welcomes applications from teams representing Asian countries and regions, including but not limited to:

Competition Schedule
The FHA Dessert Challenge runs from 7:00 AM to approximately 6:00 PM. A detailed competition schedule and individual session slot allocations will be released closer to the event date. Please note that no changes to allocated session slots will be permitted.
- 23 April 2026 – Team Challenge (Two Competitors) – Elevated Afternoon Tea
- 24 April 2026 – Individual Challenge – Plated Desserts
