Abdalhamid David Evans has become a leading voice in the Halal sector internationally. He began his work in Halal by playing a major role in the creation of The Halal Journal magazine and the World Halal Forum in Kuala Lumpur. Through these channels he created an international awareness of the global potential of Halal as a niche market.
He has provided Halal sector consulting services, including the Malaysian Government, with respect to the strategic development of the Halal. He also drafted the majority of the Halal chapter of the Malaysian Third Industrial Master Plan in 2006 for the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
Abdalhamid established Imarat Consultants Sdn Bhd in 2006 to develop international consulting projects. Current clients include the Government of Brunei Darussalam and the American Halal Association. Imarat Consultants also run the specialist news portal www.halalfocus.com, providing Halal market news and commentary for Halal sector stakeholders. |

Hj. Abdul Qayyoem studied chemistry and has 20 years of experience working in R & D for a well-known pharmaceutical company. He was an active board member of the first Federation of Muslim Organisations (FEMON) in the Netherlands and a spokesperson on behalf of the Dutch Muslims to the Dutch government. From 1980 to 2008 he was part of the Executive Board of the Muslim Information Centre (MIC) in the Netherlands. He now serves as chairman of the Supervisory Board for MIC. Hj. Abdul Qayyoem was one of the founding members of the Halal Feed and Food Foundation (HFFF) which was established in 1994. HFFIA and HFFF are both under the guidance and jurisdiction of the Majlis Al Ifta (MAI), a council of Islamic Theological Scholars who determine the rules and regulations implemented in the HFFIA and HFFF.

Cedomir Nestorovic completed his education in Paris; graduate studies in economics and languages at the Sorbonne, and postgraduate studies at the Institute for Political Sciences in Paris, at the department for Eastern Europe and Soviet Union, where he also did his PhD. He worked as a consultant for the enterprises interested in those markets for a few years, and he has been a full professor at the ESSEC, the leading school for management in France, for more than ten years. At the ESSEC, he teaches international marketing and geopolitics.

Dewi heads the Halal Certification Strategic Unit in the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS). Dewi is actively involved in the ASEAN Working Group on Halal Food. She has presented papers in many Halal conferences and seminars overseas. Her international audiences include ministers, government officials, Halal certifiers, academicians and industry players. Prior to her stint in MUIS, Dewi was involved in food research and development within the private sector.

Al-Hj. Mohammad Mazhar Hussaini has been providing services in the domain of Halal Food from the last 35 years in various capacities. He is a Food and Agriculture scientist, Nutritionist, Author, and Leader in Halal education, recognized throughout the Muslim world. His pioneering publication - Islamic Dietary Concepts and Practices, served as a seed to germinate halal movement across the globe. He has been a founding member of many Islamic institutions including halal organizations in North America. He had authored and was instrumental in passing the legislation of Halal Food Act in the State of Illinois (USA). He is currently consulting for the passage of similar legislation in three other states in the USA.
